JacquelineJacqueline Fernandez was born 11 August 1985 in Sri Lanka. She is an actress and model. She has appeared in Indian films, mostly in Hindi along with appearing in music videos and reality shows. She made her debut with Hindi films in the year 2009, starring alongside Aladin. Fernandez was born in Bahrain to an ethnically diverse Eurasian couple of Sri Lankan, Canadian and Malaysian descent. She graduated in mass communication at the University of Sydney, and worked as a TV reporter in Sri Lanka. Then she was a model. She was crowned Miss Universe Sri Lanka in 2006 and also represented Sri Lanka in Miss Universe 2006. In the month of December 2021 Fernandez has been subjected to an investigation of a money laundering case involving around Rs200 crore. Fernandez was interviewed by the Enforcement Directorate for 10 hours on the 9th of December 2021. On 22 December ED rejected Fernandez's request to reduce the Lookout Circular (LOC) which was issued to her in the matter that hinders her from traveling outside India
